Well, no luck. I say I’m alright with After effects, but I was proven wrong. I’m not really grasping what to do with the matte. I drew a mask around the girl in the picture to pull her out of it. put another copy of the picture under the one with the mask, and used the threshold command. Got good results with the lights I want to glow being white dots. but I don’t really know how to get this to transfer having the real picture’s lights blinking.

Oh well, no big deal. This looked like it was going to work for me and be a good time saver, but can’t wrap my head around it, and it’s probably too hard to explain. Thanks though.

And I’ll go make that request, though with cs3 coming out, unless adobe is in a habit of adding features like that to existing versions, it might be awhile before we get to see this feature I guess.

Ok, I figured it wasn’t in there, and that if it was, they did a great job of hiding it. But thanks for the workaround, that sounds like it will work great. I didn’t even think of that.

Ok, I fixed it some. I encoded with mpeg2 with ntsc, instead of mpeg2-dvd, which is what I was doing. I’m not sure what difference this will make with quality.

If anyone has any thoughts as to why my mpeg2-dvd would not work, please let me know.

    Thanks.

Yeah, but I can’t figure out why they don’t match. I made the menus and the transitions all with after effects, all with the same settings.

Ok, thanks guys. I’ll try all that and see if I can get a little more, though it sounds like one more excuse to finally get a new PC.

I have 1 Gig of RAM, and I’m getting less than 2 seconds of preview. I know that’s not a ton of RAM, but I was just assuming it was enough for longer than 2 seconds.
