You won’t be able to fix the audio sync problem. Apple has changed the audio codec since FCP 3. If you listen really carefully there is also 1.5 frames drop of audio (random throughout your whole capture), or if you have your DIF audio set for DV it will be a audio spike for 1.5 frames. And just so you know it got really bad with FCP 5 HD. The audio starts to drift at 5 minutes into your capture (7 frames drift) and it continuously gets worse.

So on that theory…does any know if we can take the good codec from FCP 3 and use it in FCP 5 HD? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Since panasonic has talked to apple and says that apple knows of the problem with the codec, I have tried everything with them to rid this problem including a firmware update on the VTR, and every possible combination in the menu settings and then capture. No luck.
