    Heyya Ben,

    Funny I saw your post because I am working on this exact same format conversion as we speak. But NO, I do not have this problem. I can drag and drop fine. Did you try a work around by importing to Premiere first then exporting back to AME?? Did you try to “add” from the file menu instead of drag and drop??

    But just to mention, I have the MainConcept Codec Pack for Premiere installed along with the Raylight Decoders.

    Sorry that doesn’t help. But mine works fine.

    thanks again!!! that IS exactly what I do now.
    but what projection software available for windows shows ProRes in .Mov….

    that i still have not found..

    Thanks for the quick idea…

    but alas.. I have known that one and it is Mac only..

    I should have said I need a more open platform.

    I have winXp ,vista, and win7, linux, and Mac machines.

    any other ideas???
