I recall when CS first came on the market it too used the graphics processor and caused me personally a lot of problems. I had to turn off using the GPU to get stability.

I decided then to purchase a brand of graphics card the big A recommended and had no further problems. Currently I use a Radeon (40nm) HD5850 with 1 gig of GDDR5 RAM running at 1000 MHz.

I had to upgrade the driver after installing VP 12 to get any stability. Even now, Its still not as stable as I need. I’ve ordered a new Radeon card with more RAM on it expecting this will fix the stability issues.

Be warned that these super high performance graphics cards need 750 – 1200 watt power supplies . They need almost as much power just to drive the card as the whole PC uses!. I’ve got 16 Gig of RAM in my i7 using an Asus motherboard.

    Hope this helps.

I’ve got the bought version of Vegas Pro 12 after spending weeks testing the Beta version. I don’t have any of the watermarks you mention.

I’ve had a couple of crashes too that I never had with version 11. I guess eventually Sony will sort out the cause.
