I can respond to the bin problem. Yes, sometimes you can click on the new bin button and nothing happens, or it will highlight the name of an already existing bin. Although it’s working fine for me now (for the time being!) I found that when PPro won’t create a new bin it’s because you have an equal number of assets in the project panel so there’s no blank space. In other words, if you have 2 bins, import a graphic or clip or something so that you have another row with the clip and a blank space. Then you’ll be able to create another bin.
Absolute stupidity on the part of Adobe, but, what ya gonna do. It should be a simple fix but they didn’t fix it in the latest update.

I’m pretty sure it will be just fine until you x out of Premiere Pro. Then the next time you try to open it you’ll get the “trial expired” notification.

Just to back up Tero (and Ann), DE-Flicker did work but only removed about 95% of the flicker, not all of it. Plus it’s an After Effects plug-in, not Premiere Pro. But like they said there has to be a solution other than adding an effect. I’m sure they’ll get to the root of the problem.

I have deFlicker. I downloaded your sample. I’m encoding something right now but tomorrow morning I’ll open your clip in PPro and apply deFlicker and see if it fixes the problem. The only flickering I see is on the right side at the bottom, right? I’ll post back here after I’m done, sometime tomorrow morning.

Seriously, I don’t see anything that needs to be stabilized. If anything my only “complaint” would be that the sky looks like crap. You said you didn’t denoise yet, right? I shudder at how long THAT’s gonna take.

Yeah, most of my working life I was a trouble shooter, from office equipment, to coding. I’m pretty good at it, but I always have to first make a fool of myself by putting up posts crying for help. Then, I go to work 😉

Caps, yes, like the giant capacitor that blew on my 4 year old central A/C unit last month, costing me $360.00! Pesky things, those capacitors.
As a follow up, I had a jpg I didn’t even realize I hadn’t converted. And it was in color, which I was desaturating and “tinting” to black and white. I opened it in photoshop, converted to B&W, saved as a tiff file, and replaced the jpg (which is used many times throughout the video). I also “Scale to frame size” ‘d the green screen videos, and it appears the encode will now only take 2 hours or so.
And you wanted me to buy a new computer. Amateur! 😉 Thanks again, Tero. You guys, I’m tellin’ ya. The best.

Thanks for responding so quickly and so early in the morning, Tero. But here’s another thing about me. I’m a neat freak. I keep my place clean as a whistle, and in fact when I added an HDD about a month or so ago, when I opened my desktop it was spotless.
Not sure what “caps” are so I don’t know what a busted one would look like. If I really do need a new motherboard I may as well go for a whole new workstation with the components you guys always suggest for me. There’s no point in getting this one back to where it was, since that wasn’t all that great to begin with.
