No advantage, really. And you can always change the sequence settings afterwards. You don’t have to keep the settings your footage has created, although for the most part Premiere Pro will choose the best settings.

I’ll try those two you guys mentioned. I know that before, every player other than VLC was filled with advertisements and stuff, weird screen configuration defaults that always had to be changed. Never heard of these two before so I’ll give them shot.

For some reason I no longer get emails when I receive a response. Now I’ve got all these responses to try and remember.
First, the video isn’t as dark as those photos. That actually happened AFTER I uploaded the pics. I’m beginning to think my graphics card or monitor is going bad.
Second, no, I don’t use curves of any kind. Sometimes to experiment but not as a general rule. I use a PC so I can’t use FCPX, DaVinci Resolve crashes on me almost immediately so I can’t use that either. After Effects gets so bogged down it’s useless to me. So I can only go by Premiere Pro.
Third, I use the youtube 1080p codec but also the youtube 4K codec, which is what I used here. I’ve also tried exporting to DNxHD with the same result.
No, Tero, no baked in looks. CineD with everything normally set to -5 (saturation -3). I’ll try all 0 or all -2. Same result. Again, it’s only my shirt, no matter what color or fabric, that does this. And it’s not present in the straight out of camera files.

Are you clicking on the clip you want to use in the bin to replace the clip in the timeline first? I’ve seen enough weird oddities that no one else has to know that’s probably not the problem, but who knows. Maybe you’ve had a brain fart and suddenly forgotten to do that before trying to replace a clip. Hope this helps.

I’m not sure how to do it but yes, you can. I’m surprised no one has responded to you. I do believe you have to set up your audio channels before you even create a sequence. There’s got to be a short tutorial about it on adobe’s forums. Hopefully someone who knows how (and I know you’re out there!) will respond.

I went into my graphics card software and reset “video” to default and it seems to have cleared it up this time. Another example of computers changing settings on their own. Thanks again, everybody.
