Yes. It defaults to 23.976 no matter what the framerate is of my clip.

But the problem, Tero, and this seems to have just started, is that if I leave it at 23.97, which it defaults to, it plays back smoothly, but if I change it to 29.97, which is the actual framerate of the clip, it plays back a bit speeded up. Again, the timeline is 29.97 but the “video format” defaults to 23.97. It’s the video format setting that I’m changing, not the timeline framerate.
I just did another “project” consisting of two clips. One renders smoothly, the other has a stuttering movement to it, but both were shot with the same settings.

I remember now, it was because my GPU kept running out of memory. See, I listen 🙂Then what’s the point of optimizing files or render cache and all that if you can get the files to behave like 1080p just by changing the timeline resolution?
