  • Then that’s not what I was looking for.

  • Ah, ok. I was thinking there was that same color matching feature that was in Speedgrade. It was used to match up camera shots but you could also import TGA files and match your video up to the look in those. And that, Tero, was what I was expecting to happen.

He already said he’d searched through that document. What I suggest you do is just install it and see how it behaves. It’s not going to alter any of your Adobe “products”. If it’s too heavy for your computer just uninstall it and git ta buildin’! 😉

Well, like I said, I’m not a heavy user of Fusion. I was able to open the page, add an effect, and go to coloring, and also apply a Fusion title from the edit page. Both of those things immediately crashed the program before.

Thanks, Marc! I’ve always wanted to learn the technique for drawing myself out from the background (other than bokeh, of course). I’ll have to look up a tut on it. Cheers!

Hey Glenn. I have v.14.3 installer just in case but so far v. 15 looks pretty cool and, as I told Tero, there is a temporary fix to keep Fusion from crashing. I didn’t want to run both versions, I just wanted to make sure I could go back to 14.3 if necessary.
    Cheers!

Right, same here, the ungraded version of the clip shows up in Fusion. I read where someone else had the same complaint and was told that you’re supposed to add your Fusion effects before you grade, which is why the Fusion page comes before the Color page at the bottom of the screen.

When they get it working smoothly it’ll be a nice improvement, workflow wise, over v.14. But it’s really buggy right now. I can’t help you as far as FCPX, I’m on a PC.

Hey! If I wanted sarcasm I’d have lunch with my mother! ????

So I guess I’ll wait until it’s out of beta as well. I got a good thing going here, no sense in messing it up for a feature I’ll probably never use (Fusion).

EDIT: Hey, Tero. Just saw a fix for the Fusion crashes if you’re interested. Just go into Preferences and check “Always Use CPU for Fusion” or words to that effect.
