    Your definitely going to want to parent your camera to a null object. Here’s a link to video copilot tutorial that addressed this topic and includes a really useful plugin for this technique.

    Are you simply trying to resize using a mask? Could you possibly try resizing without the mask to get the same effect? If you provide some more details on what your attempting, I could probably give you a solution and/or workaround.

    Try match framing V1 where you intend to have the effect start. Then add the clip to V2 that you intend to apply the effect to making sure your in and out points match V1 so you don’t get a jump cut. Or you could possibly do an Add Edit to V1 so you can apply the effect to that section of video without effecting the rest of the track.
