I apologise, I am sure this has been answered a 1000 times before but. I want to apply and animatte to a clip on V2 and also to move the clip and animatte using 3d warp. I used to use Avid a lot and knew how to do this without affecting the clip on V1 but I have forgotten. Any clues? Leave a blank track between, nest? submaster? I can’t remember how to do the second two!
    Here’s hoping, Matt.

Try match framing V1 where you intend to have the effect start. Then add the clip to V2 that you intend to apply the effect to making sure your in and out points match V1 so you don’t get a jump cut. Or you could possibly do an Add Edit to V1 so you can apply the effect to that section of video without effecting the rest of the track.
