It was very helpful, what I needed help with was the step needed to make Adobe Premiere export in these settings.

The video was easy to get to work. But I had a few test renders with no audio or all NOISE. In the audio tab of the Premiere CC export settings there is no mention of Linear PCM or Little Endian.

As you can see below these were the settings already specified by the Aja cows but I was unable to select them until I chose the ‘uncompressed’ codec option.

To get the audio to playback on the ki pro rack my settings were:
    Audio Codec: ‘uncompressed’
    Channels: ‘Stereo’
    Sample Size: ’24 bit’
Audio Track Layout: ‘2 Mono Tracks’
(note: This worked after I created a new sequence preset(s) that only had either 2 or 8 mono tracks to begin with.)

Thanks for your help. The AJA Cows are always helpful.

Has anyone been successful in this? I’m currently testing out HOW to get these settings setup in premiere CC. What would make it all easy is if someone could post a screen shot or a preset file to download.

    Thanks for the expression!
    I’m using 1 decimal point.
How can i get it to always display the decimal point when the number is whole? e.g. “3.0” or “0.0”

also, I had to add ‘*10’ to the first line because the script was putting all the digits of the slider value behind the decimal (keyframed from 0.0 to 5.8 over 40 frames)

Really? I was using a 1min 7 Mb aif file and the end of it would not play back. I could get the first 35 seconds to playback but the last third of it just would preview. And if i moved the work area bar to just that few seconds and RAM previewed it, AE would start playing the .aif layer from it’s beginning instead of 35 seconds in. It didn’t work for me until I used a compressed version. Do you have a better solution?

I’ve been reading this forum for tips. I’ve been trying to sync kinetic typography to audio the last two days. It seemed to be going swimmingly when i held down the command key to scrub. But towards the end of the audio the ram preview would have huge glitches in the audio repeating parts and sometimes just going silent. I restarted and eventually ran into the same problem.

so here is my tip to add to this thread:

use an ‘audio proxy,’ a highly compressed version of your audio, when working in after effects to help your RAM previews go faster and less glitchy.

    Thanks Cow Community!
