Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me… if I export a recent short film we made, 24fps, Aspect Ratio: 2.35 : 1 out of DaVinci Resolve using Easy DCP, will it be essentially a DCP?

It’s for a film festival that will only except Blu-Ray or DCP… can’t get the Blu-Ray done in time, so looking to to a DCP, which of course is better anyway… but it is safe – as in will it definitely work the other end?

Any potential problems?

Is it really ‘Easy’ as the name suggests?

Do I need to make sure of anything?

And finally, how do we deliver it to the cinema, on just a portable hard drive?

Would anyone happen to know if you can turn off handles that seem to automatically appear on dpx exports from DaVinci Resolve?

I was going use the create dvd preset in Compressor.. but it’s not working.

Would Nero work? Or should I try something else? I would need to use an actual authoring app?

Hi guys,

So, I recently converted (using compressor) a video file (PAL 25frames per second, full HD file, ProresHQ) to a NTSC 720 x 480 29.97 frames per second.

I now need to get it on the dvd! I can get the video on there but the sound was obviously converted to match the new retimed picture, but as a separate file which I can’t seem to get on the dvd as well.

Would you happen to know how I can get both the Dolby Digital ac3 file and video file on dvd together sync’d?
