Well, I fixed the problem but I threw out the baby with the bathwater. I just undid all edits which removed what ever I had done. Not a big loss however as this was early in a project. See you

OK, but it will be a work around. I am convinced there is no way to directly access Architect without being in Vegas 9. The other versions I don’t know. Later

Thanks. I wrote a long answer then wiped it out. Rome wasn’t built in a day. I have just one problem to solve then I’m ok. I don’t really have a lot in spite of what it seems. I think I know what the problen is. I’ve got to check

Thanks for trying but the usual way of doing this only shows previous files. This is deliberate on Sonys part I think. In vegas nine and unless you have media in the timeline you can not get to Architect. It can not be installed without installing the whole program from the disk. Of course Architect is useless without vegas.
and vegas is pretty useless without architect. I’m pretty sure I am not alone because someone previously wanted to do something in architect without the dar. That cant happen of course.

I think when you get to architect you can pick out other previously rendered projects to work on. I am burnt on this and because I looked at all the fine print on the box to make sure it did what I wanted it to do. Then I find it would not. That the print was just that. But all this is an afterthought so I will just run with what I got. Unfortunately I have re-registered and am on the moderated list. I will have to see if the moderator has the guts to post this negative post. But I look on this vegas 9 as just something to sell their pro version. I’m 90 in 2 months and didn’t think I had a naive bone in my body but this goes to show ( this seals this to the round file) There is a sucker born every minute.
    Have a nice day.

The problem is I cant do that. I find it in Control Panel as a program but not in list of programs or a shortcut on desktop. I can only find it by going from vegas nine into sending the project to be made into a movie in architect. But to do that it renders it again. I installed it from a disk but don’t remember having the option of putting a shortcut on the desktop. Its a bummer to have to go through vegas 9 every time. I use windows 7. If I don’t find anyone with a ready answer I will go back and see if I missed something in the installation process.

    Have a nice day
