Yes I found that I was looking at windows explorer. Vegas explorer shows all the directories and fils. Just another of my mistakes.

If you have the patience for one more time look at this. This is the latest look at vegas screen. I suppose the screen that displays the trimmer is hidden somewhere. I can open the project preview of course but that hides the trimmer time line. Anyway please take a look. I liked your screen as it shows exactly what I need. If this doesn’t work I will go back to editing in the project time line

I am fairly certain that what I am looking for is by something in the window.All I can see is the timeline instead of the preview. if you will go to the above link I think it will clear itself up. If I have done it right. Please go there and see if it helps.

I think I did something wrong but it did go to the blog with the picture which does the same thing

Is the upper picture the trimmer window and the lower string the trimmer timeline? If I were to put the cursor on the bottom time line where it is should show in the upper picture? My problem I can only see one or the other but not both at the same time. How do you get this configuration? I also have to find instructions for posting direct to the forum.

Let me try to explain my problem so it is understandable. I want to look at the preview window for the trimmer while I edit in the trimmer time line. I suppose there is one for the trimmer time line. You can see my current window configuration as it is now by going to temporaryposts.blogspot.com I went through the complete steps in the tutorial(again) which created a different configuration. I can see the preview window for the project timeline so I assume there is one for the trimmer timeline. I’m almost there and all I need is a little nudge to get this problem understood.

Something seems to have changed here and the easiest tway to do this is have you go to a blog to see why I cant do it your way. I would like the vegas window to display the things the way yours is displayed. Is there a default window?
