    Hi Christopher,
you don’t mention what camera you are using. Most on board camera’s are only any use for capturing some surrounding ambience, but no real use in the real world because of their limitations. The onboard mic picks up the sound of the auto irus, the lens zoom servo and even your own hands clicking switches and adjusting the tripod. whenever possible, use a shotgun mic mounted on a proper noise isolating camera mount. Then make sure you put a good wind sock on it. When its windy, disarm the onboard mic and just use the shotgun. You can film in a gale this way.

    Hi Joel,
This is a problem you will often run into and one you need to master. You mention the room is too big to light and still you must try to counter the strong light coming from outside. When I run into this, I light as well as possible, the subject (in your case I guess its one or more cars)and then stay tight enough to be able to use your f stop to light up the cars. If you shoot wide with a low f stop like f2, your outside background will be all blown out but if you can stay tight enough not to see too much of that, it will work. Shoot your important shots like that and then if you need a wide shot, you will have to allow for some compromise. Concentrate on getting the important parts of the scene looking right and the client will be happy. If the client wants both, show him on your monitor what happens at the different f stop settings so he understands.
    Good luck

A question for Mr Martinez. Juan, I am in Australia and our version of this great new camera is NX5p. I have experienced this Buffer Overflow so I am very interested in a patch that can fix it. Is the Version 2.0 patch you made available for the northern hemisphere at link https://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/micro-nxcamsite/resource.downloads going to be appropriate for our camera? My serial number is in the 5***** range.
I cannot afford to have this happen when I am shooting a wedding.
    Any advice will be appreciated.
