Apr 2010 and I have the same problem with Premiere Pro CS4. “Error Compiling Movie . . . Unknown Error” This is followed by “Running Low on System Memory Please Save Your Project and Proceed with Caution”

Found a Google response that suggested 5 Solutions (https://kb2.adobe.com/cps….) Took all these steps and problem
persists.

Right now I have 26 minutes of stills with effects, transitions, titles, etc. First render completed 8 min before the error message. Next day, second render, the process went to 10:48 before error message.

No other programs running. Have 4 GB RAM; 510GB available for project.

What is solution?

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Problem persists. If I enter Burn DVD or Export to DVD, I get this screen: Export Settings, Format: MPEG DVD; Range: Entire Sequence; Preset: NTSC Progression 4:3 High Quality, 7Mb CBR 1 Pass. Forgot to mention Deinterlace and Scale to Fit are not checked. Export Video and Export Audio are checked. It is set to MPEG-2, and ISO/IEC 13818 in the Multiplex area. Audio: Format – PCM (Dolby Digital, MPEG); Codec – PCM Audio; Basic Audio settings: 16 bit, 48 kHz.

I went to the FAQ: Why is there no audio in my exported MPEG file? Second bullet said I needed to select “DVD” in my multiplex setting to get audio and video in a single file … I then went to See “MPEG multiplexer preset options” in the Premiere Pro 2.0 Help for details.

After I went there I did not find a “DVD” to select in the multiplex setting.

What am I missing?

OK, what is multiplexing? Didn’t see any mention of multiplexing in my Classroom in a Book.

My timeline and monitor windows show all four tabs for the sequences. Since I am in the basics area, I don’t feel too ignorant, but does that suggest I have all the sequences in the proper place? If I do, let’s move on to the next step — placing the whole show onto a DVD. Is there a tutorial out there (free) that will show me how to do that?

Didn’t work. I have four bins (1,2,3,4) In each bin I have a sequence and all the stills associated with that sequence. I created a new sequence as you suggested. First I tried to drag the entire bin to the new sequence but it wouldn’t drop into the sequence. I then opened the bin folder and tried to drag the sequence within that bin folder to the new sequence. It wouldn’t drop into the new sequence. I then highlighted the sequence file and all the stills associated with it inside the one bin and attempted to drag all of them to the new sequence but it wouldn’t move.
