Both. We usually live capture but run tape for back up purposes.

I guess what I am wondering is can we capture 24p live using the IOHD from an HDX900, similar to the way you would capture 24p using 1080PSF on a Decklink or Kona3 even though you would go HDSDI thru the IO out via fw800 to a computer?
Our Camera method would be 108024p (not “A”), and our easy setup would be AJA IOHD 1080psf.
I’m just not sure what happens at the mid point with the IO. Does it function as a BlackMagic or Kona card with the exception of hardware pro res encoding?
