I have read that also. Unfortunately, the rental houses I’ve spoken with seem to have no interest, because of the limited market of 1/2″ cameras.

No script needed, actually. After you set your work area, send it to the render queue, click on render settings and then click on the “custom” button in the time sampling area. Your ins and outs are picked up by the custom setting. Now you are free to change those ins and outs for other render set-ups. Just repeat as you send each to the render queue.
