1) Save a copy, select the highest level Comp you want in Project window and then, File > Dependencies > Reduce Project.
2) Get this script: https://aescripts.com/save-comp-as-project/

Aza, its been a while so have you figured out the best workflow yet? I am in the same boat that you were 3 years ago. That said, I have a set of predefined lower thirds and tried the dynamic link between AE Pr. I then rendered them out with RGB+Alpha and tried again.
Here’s my inference and would like the experts input. I found that Pr rendering is lot longer (doing it queued) when handling AE comp 37 mins. Whereas RGB+Alpha took 12 minutes. A simple 5:30 clip with green screen footage and some overlays.
That said.. I thinking about Justin’s suggestion to pre-render the background and check the difference.

Try @Mark Pyper suggestion about Layer Styles. Despite there being no layer styles, just turning off the “eye” next to layer style worked.

@Mark Pyper fantastic. That was it.. in fact the problem started occuring, as soon as I tried to enable layer styles.

December 19, 2010 at 6:00 pm in reply to: SD Card Recovery on T2i – Anyone used software tools successfully?I read in other forums and am trying a software called CardRecovery for win7 (clone of CardRescue for mac)… will post an update. BTW, my card got corrupted because I accidentally switched off the camera while the SD Card reader red light was still blinking.

4 years after the questions was raised.. I am sure there are more people that are like me with the same problem.
Anyways, I was able to figure out that this preset uses stroke width to initially hide the characters and then over time reduces to the stroke width to 0 so that the actual character fill may be visible.
Now a few gothas:
1. make sure that the background color is the same as the stroke color that will enable the characters to hide at the beginning of the animation.
2. make sure that you set the “Stroke over Fill” property next to Stroke Width option in your character panel (does not work if the “Fill over Stroke” option is selected.
3. Does not work if you apply ramp or other effect that is applied to the layer property i.e. ramp, colorista, etc.Hope this helps other like me.
