SD Card Recovery on T2i – Anyone used software tools successfully?
Posted by Al Bergstein on October 12, 2010 at 5:41 pmSo I had my first card failure. I have been able to “recover” still shots off the camera using a tool called F-Recovery for SD but it apparently doesn’t recover video clips. So I know that the images are still on the card but the card is unreadable. Anyone actually used a software tool to recover video clips?

October 15, 2010 at 10:39 amHello,
Your card is corrupted and at such situation you have to use a data recovery software for the purpose, you should use Kernel for memory card recovery software to recover all your data either pics or video files very easily and instantly. You can preview the data and files before saving then and check the demo version from –

October 18, 2010 at 6:21 pmWell, yes, I knew that. I’ve already tried a few programs that claim to recover cards. I just loaded up a trial version of Kernal and it did not work at all in even finding files to fix. At least the others I’ve tried restored some piece of the videos to unuseable JPEG files…So I would not recommend Kernal at all given my experience with it.

October 25, 2010 at 1:04 pmNo. I still haven’t found a software package that can actually recover video .mov files… would love to find one.

December 19, 2010 at 6:00 pmI read in other forums and am trying a software called CardRecovery for win7 (clone of CardRescue for mac)… will post an update. BTW, my card got corrupted because I accidentally switched off the camera while the SD Card reader red light was still blinking.

February 23, 2012 at 4:34 amThe answer to the question is that I never did recover the card data. Don’t lose it, because it does not appear to be recoverable. I tried about every software tool out there.
