Thanks for the ideas. Yeah, I kind of thought that it would be a problem. This client usually only works in SD and the existing monitor they were using is starting to go, flashing green every so often. I was thinking of getting a used CRT and bide my time until they fully start using HD in the edit, then get something better. We just need something for good color.

I have been thinking about getting this monitor to do color correction for my short movie. I am working in HD, Uncompressed 10bit, 23.98fps. I have the Decklink HD card, but I believe it only has SDI outputs. The PVM-14L5/1 doesn’t have SDI inputs, does it? So I would need to get an option card, at least the SDI correct? Also, does this monitor display, 23.98 or 29.97? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the info Shane. About the SATA, I have thought about those but have heard that when they get more than half full, they start loosing their transfer speed causing dropped frames. I guess you can get a large enough array so you don’t fill it half full, but have you come across this? Thanks again.
