    I actually just discovered a workaround. I copied the newly shot files in the corresponding folders: VIDEO – CLIPS – ICONS – AUDIO into the corresponding sub folders in the existing CONTENTS folder in my Project folder. Now when I go to the Premiere Media Browser and select “Panasonic P2” in the “View As” drop-down menu, the clips show up with thumbnails, ready to import. Now as I shoot I will be able to add to the CONTENTS folder without having to create additional folders. Not sure if this is the best way but it does work.

    Thanks Ivan. If I rename the folders I can get the .mxf files to appear in the Media Browser and then import them but I cannot get them to appear as they do from the CONTENTS folder, as clips containing a thumbnail. Only files from the original CONTENTS folder appear that way.
