I tried this and I still can’t get it to move around on the black background. In other words, if I have a portrait style photo, I can not move it from side to side on the black bg. It simply gets more narrow as I try to move it. Any other advice?

I know how to use the pan/crop and have done that before. But, for some reason the portrait shots are on a black background, and I can’t move them from side to side. When I try, the picture gets more narrow instead of moving.

I think with the help of another computer expert, we have found that it is the audio output on the sound card is malfunctioning.

I did try the extract optimization trick. It seems that audio that wasn’t ripped does play ok. The external drive is usb 2.0; I use it with my sony vaio laptop and vegas 4, and it works like a charm.
I don’t have any multi track audio on the computer to try this with.
I wanted to try a microphone and record a voice over, but I have everything packed in boxes from a move, so I can’t find a mic to try it with. I am working on a couple of other problems right now. will let you know what i find.

I tried this, and the digital audio box was checked. I think there must be a problem with this computer. I even tried an external drive on the computer, and it still pops. Any other ideas?

Thank you I will try this. The drive is brand new as well. The whole computer is brand new. I may also try hooking an external drive to the computer and see if it works. I will let you know what happens.

I just tried ripping the same cd with media player, and it didn’t sound right either. It still had the pops and skip sounds. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I extracted the audio in vegas 6 under the file tab where it says extract audio from cd. I wanted to see if that same audio sounded bad in real player, and when I played it there, it sounded a lot smoother. I just tried it in windows media player, and it didn’t sound very good in it either. If it were a problem with the sound card in general, it wouldn’t sound right on any of them, would it?
