So is it don’t need or is not implemented or programmed for yet? Your smug response could easily create a flame war the way it’s worded. Why don’t you chalk it up to “it’s not been programmed in because they (Adobe)don’t see the feature” not “the users aren’t sophisticated enough to use it”? Your response sounds like an apersion to me.

I have never had the problem, but I always zoom using the + and – keys not any slider, etc. Do you use the slider or what? Have you tried other ways of zooming and does it always crash? Do you zoom to a certain resolution or is it just zooming in general?

Ok,
So you have maybe V1 and A1 as synced a/v from video, you want to put sfx/music whatever on A2-3 etc. Right? Now you want to ripple or roll edit video and then audio seperately? Why can’t you go into Trim mode then target a different audio track while in Trim mode jump to the edit and trim away? Is that the same thing only more elegant in Avid? I cannot visualize what you want to do and have not used the tool.

You can just log the clips in the capture window. Set the in/out etc and it will create an offline clip when you click log. Alternatly, if you right click in the bin/project area and create a new offline file, it will pop up a window that you can input TC in/out scene/shot/take etc. Just select the offline clips you want to batch capture – right click and select batch capture and blammy, you got it. They also still offer importing/exporting batch lists in several formats under Project>Import (Export) batch list, so you can create it in Excel or Word and import it.
I have not had a problem, but only used DV.

What are the specifications of the drive? How much cache, speed? DMA may be turned off on it. Did you format it NTFS or FAT32? Is it on the same cable drop as a CD or DVD?
