I am having a tremendous problem naming my Source Media in my external hard drive for FCPX to read
using a Panasonic P2 cards in a new HPX255 camera.

Unless the folder has the name Contents and having the sub-folders under it named audio, clip, icon, proxy, video, voice, lastclip.txt listed EXACTLY LIKE THIS FCPX will NOT read the clips as Source Media.

H-E-L-P ! DOES anybody have any solutions????

    Thanks,
    Don Bronn

Jeremy / I tried and tried. I don’t know how to add screen shots or grabs to this forum. There are 4 of them
I would need to include and I just can’t figure it out. I got a message from a moderator and I still can’t seem to do this. I have lists from 4 files…..audio, video,, clip and icon.

Do you have any suggestions ? May I send these screen shots to you on your own email so you may be able to look at them?

    Thanks! / Don Bronn

Yes, as far as I know everything was copied using the Panasonic P2 card reader to the Buffalo 1TB external hard drive. Then connected by Thunderbolt to the MacBook Pro laptop. Started up FCPX.
Clicked on the import button. Then, clicked on the drive and FCPX would not even read what I had on the drive. Would Shot Put Pro help me out on this?

    Thanks/ Don
