November 22, 2007 at 5:57 am in reply to: Title 3D in Final Cut Pro update compatibility issueI opened the project on my Mac Book PRO instead of my old dual 2.5 G5 and the Boris Title 3D is now viewable.
Although both machines are running the same version of FCP… the titles can only be seen on the intel mac…

Hi GID,
The tascam does not work with the INTEL MAC nor the G5…. I had several people try to get it working for me… NADA…. I eventually went with the M-AUDIO FAST TRACK PRO…
I got a HUGE discount at guitar center because my partner is a yoga instructor at CAL. SWEET!
I brought the m-audio home and plugged it into both computers… It worked perfect…. and within minutes… I was commentating my 4th show for ESPN at 1/10th the price of my previous experiences at “the studio”!
cheers

Hi David,
When i click “NO” the project does not open. It just closes out the project and FCP opens without a project or reverts to the last opened project.
thanks for the suggestion
has anybody else had this issue?

I am not at the studio NOW…. but the tascam never worked and we returned it and GOT a….. a ….. shoot I cant remember the name right now.. cause I am not in front of the system… Ithink it had the word AUDIO in it..
The guys at Guitar center could not get the tascam to work either… the new unit was plug and PLAY!!! i think it has the word AUDIo in the name… I will be back in the studio on Wednesday.
cheers

thanks Shane…
If I can pull this off it a HUGE learning experience… so I am eager for it to work!
In SoundTrack, when we record with 2 mics the audio is immediately recorded “left channel, right channel” in the same track… so when we do a play back.. MIC/Input 1 comes out of the right speaker and MIC/Input 2 comes out of the left speaker…
Only after we “mix” the recording (mix down to DUAL MONO or something like that) can we here both INPUTS, 1 & 2 (both voices) coming out of both speakers.. Doing this MIX DOWN takes about 30 seconds..
Is there any way that we can record, using two mics (INPUTS) and get immediate playback of both mics (INPUTS) through both speakers.. without any mixing…. I would guess there is some sort of setting for this?
thanks

HI Shane.. thanks for the response 🙂
Yes we are doing a commentary for a 1 hour SPORTS SHOW (as if we were LIVE).
Normally we go into a studio and they use pro tools with a QT export we give them… and then they export an audio file for us…
We imported the video into SOUNDTRACK and it seems to have fixed our problem.. both mics work in sound track….. the true test will be tomorrow when the talent arrives…
Any thoughts?
BTW – our 2 mic, $500 (not inclusing computer of course) audio set up sounds unbelieveable.. technology is amazing!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have unplugged the Sony DSR-11 (firewire)….
very frustrating…2 days of trouble shooting.. nothing.. today I will see if I can take it to guitar center (where I bought it) and see if they can get it working on their rig.
cheers
