    P.S. This is the ‘File Import Failure’ error I got:
    The importer reported a generic error.

    I renamed the folder and it still seems to be missing some data.
    When I import the file it does not play back correctly (jumpy, glitchy audio).
    The timeline gives me a yellow needs-to-be-rendered bar.
    Needless to say, makes editing VERY time consuming.

    596 GB on my C drive.
    3.25 GB of RAM

    Plus a 4T Drobo (divided into two drives–A and B).

    I did install Quicktime Player.
