Seems converting to .avi was my only option anyhow. Works now!

John: I had no idea such a feature was available. Regardless, I don’t feel like going through the 2-hour movie again to collect these 30 or so clips…. I found converting one of the clips to AVI works just fine. I don’t know what it is about this format that Vegas is being picky about. Then again, Vegas never has worked smoothly in my years with it :/

In addition, now when I try to make a new project with no audio/video tracks there, I get the message: “None of the files dropped in Vegas Pro could be opened”

Strange considering I thought Vegas had mpeg support. Not sure what type it is, Windows just tells me “.mpg”
