I am working in NTSC format. I did crop the video when asked for by BITVICE. I can’t remember if I chose the interlace option or not. But should i with NTSC? Do I also chose upper field first for NTSC? Thanks for the help.

I authored the DVD watching it on a computer screen. I burned the DVD and then saw the jagged edges on a television. I have a monitor set up for viewing media 100, but it’s not set up to monitor the DVD. What is the best way to compress the video on BitVice so I don’t get the jagged look?

    Thanks for the help Floh.

I appreciate your input. I realze DVD Studio Pro is the best way to create a DVD. But can you upgrate just the DVD Studio Pro without having to buy the entire collection of software from MAC for $1200? From what I can tell from Mac, DVD Studio Pro comes bundled with other software. You could buy previous versions alone. I just don’t think it’s worth my money to buy the entire suite when all I need is DVD Studio Pro.

    Thanks

  • I just downloaded the free sw version. I think the system is as streamlined as one could ask for. If you already know media 100, there is no learning curve at all. I’ve found FCP to be non intuitive. I’m in a unique situation, since we just moved to Atlanta from Sacramento and my Media 100 system was dismantled by thieves in the moving process.
    But that’s a different story.

So, now the question becomes how to replace what’s missing, namely the P600 board on a magma chassis. Should I wait for the SW official release? Will that mean using other boards instead of Media 100 hardware? Or do I drop the bigger change for the HD version? Any thoughts appreciated.
