Saeed, I found a third party software, that was $40US, that allowed me to transfer Canon XF300 files successfully into quicktime .mov files. It worked great. Audio and visual were fine. The company is Pavtube Studio:

I hope you find this helpful! Happy new year.

Saeed, did you ever get your question answered regarding the out of sync issue with the MXF files? I am curious, cause I have experienced the same problem.

There might be an external/internal ref switch in the menu of the DSR deck. I would scroll through the menu and see if there is something that is turned off. Good Luck!

I second Nigel’s comments on Chrosziel. I own three and am very happy with my selection, never had a problem with them. You should be able to find a fairly lightweight clamp on 4X5 matte box, if you want to go bare bones. Good luck and keep on shooting.

  • Are you sure this problem is not on your original tape? I am sure you already took that out of your equation.

If you want to get your hands on an F900R to better help your decision. I can offer you a great discount on a rental. It might be a good idea to familiarize your self with the camera in a real life situation. Check out http://www.darental.com

To my knowledge the only way to view character out on the F900R is to purchase the 3:2 pulldown board. At least that is what I was told.
