Thanks! I already tried this, but the behavior irritates me a little bit, aas I come from 3d, my experience is, that an emitter emits particles from a given object or points, no matter where the position of the emitter is. Now in Motion 5 this is not the case and if I want the particles to be “created” from a moving line, I have to group the line and the emitter.

Here’s a short example movie, where I have set the emitter and the line to Y = 0. But when I move the line down as shown, the particles do not emit from the line anymore but stay at the position of the emitter. For me this is no real “emitting from geometrie”, but I may have missed some behavior tunings….?

    Good to know! 🙂

Maybe I can suggest some things at this place, which I would like to see in a next version?

When I thought about more features, I came up with:

    – colored motion blur effects
    – transparencies with the options to add, subtract, multiply etc. from layers
    – tubulences like wind
    – attractions and rejections objects or effects
    – controlling the settings by MIDI
    – animation of the reference point over time
    – particles get shadows from other particles
    – and may an option, to create looping animations?

Maybe you could set the visibility to zero at hit time?

Now, after some research and reading through the forum, it seems clear, that there is no way to hear sound of an imported video in pIllusion. So let’s put this one onto the wishlist! 🙂

I started to create some pulsing emitters by hand now, and came across another feature, which I would like to see in a next version of pIllusion, or maybe it is already there, but I did’nt find it:

I tried to copy the reference poinst of the “size” of a particle to “visibility” to synchronize these effects.
As there is no way to directly copy the data as it seems, I tried to export as position date (AE format to clipboard), which causes a crash of pIllusion (3.0.8x, OS X, G5 PCC).

Is there any way to do this to get a precise synchronisation of effects (or there reference points)?
