    Shane,

    I double checked and was about to report that my files were named correctly until I saw that instead of CONTENTS, it said CONTENT, no S at the end.

    I’ve renamed the folder and I have been able to bring in the data.

    Thanks so much to everyone for their help, I’ve felt so helpless with the data until coming to this website and getting help from you all.

    Cheers!

    Shane,

    Thanks, but again I have to admit up front because some of my questions will sound obvious to everyone else. I am transferring this stuff because a fall out with the people who shot it, but I am just the visual effects guy and I’m not familiar with FCP.

    I have tried to import like you said, but it just gives me an error. Again though, I’m not sure I’m trying to call footage in from the log and transfer widget correctly. I am holding down the right mouse button that shows, add custom path, and then I try to bring in the topmost directory above contents, although I have tried every iteration below as well. Am I missing another place to call in data? Or is my .TXT file possibly still not setup correctly? I have followed Matt’s advice above.

    Thanks again,

    Daev

    I just tried posting back and something odd happened, so I hope my apologies if this goes out twice and once unfinished.

    I have created the .txt file as you said, but I am getting held up on trying to import. I basically don’t know what the workflow should be from here. Should I be doing:

    import -> folder

    and if so then clicking on content in the directory? If so that isn’t working as of yet. I can’t get it to read files either. The only thing I get to come up are the low res .bmp images in FCP.

    I would like to get this to work over using raylight, it seems cleaner, but feel like there is something still missing in what I’m doing. Any more advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Matt and Noah
