Hello JC.
This is something I got on the drawing board for my motion template store.
What I can recommend is you check out Blender.org. It is an amazing FREE 3D tool.
This way you can create whatever world it is that you want. You can also check out https://www.blendswap.com for free models to dress up your set.
Private message me if you need any help.
Have an awesome day!

Hello Lynette, another thing I would try is to adjust the render settings inside of Motion. One at a time, turn off the Motion Blur, Depth of Field, and Shadows as those are huge render hogs.
Once you turn those settings off, you can now do your tests and then turn them back on when you are done.
Some tricks I use to keep the render times low are to reduce the amount of blur on the shadows from the light settings, I also turn off motion blur until I am completely ready for final delivery.
Let me know if any of this works.
Have a wonderful day!

Hello Mark and thank you for the compliment.
For the explode template I used Cinema 4D, but for all other I now use Blender 3D. I have grown fond of Blender and it is very powerful and it is FREE 🙂
There is a script that I use to export my keyframes from blender to use in Motion to match up the camera and drop zones.
https://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?227090-Blender-to-Apple-Motion-export-script
I then render out the layers of the scene and bring them into Motion along with the exported script.
I hope to have a tutorial for this technique as I think it is pretty awesome, sign up for my newsletter as I will announce it as soon as it is done.
Make sure to check out Blender in the meantime, I am sure you will be amazed: blender.org
Thank you again and have a wonderful day!

Thank you for the compliment.
Do you mean the cursor on the web address. If it is, that would be a good idea, I would just need to figure out a way to time it so not matter what length a web address the cursor makes its mark.
Thank you 🙂

December 6, 2011 at 1:50 pm in reply to: Creating a ‘Hanging String’ animation in Motion 5.Hello Daniel,
Motion does not have cloth simulation.
I did do a quick test trying to do some sort of simulation:
3372_spring.motn.zip
The string I had to create manually with keyframes. Here are some resources:
https://documentation.apple.com/en/motion/usermanual/index.html#chapter=9%26section=12%26hash=apple_ref:doc:uid:Motion-UserManual-90915BHV-SW26Also, if you would like to do more intense physic simulations like cloth, water and others I highly recommend the free software Blender.
Here is an example of template I created using Blender and Motion:

Hello Steve,
If the match move does not work there is another trick I use in case I have to add keyframes manually, is to add keyframes in halves.
Meaning, if your timeline is 1 minute in length, I would add a keyframe at frame 1, then frame 30 and then frame 60. Take a look, then add keyframes in between those, 15, 45 and then take a look , then keep going in between.
First make sure to add the anchor point where the hands touch the money bag and in between as Stephan mentioned.
It takes some patience.
If you post the video we may be more of assistance.
Have a wonderful day! 🙂

Thank you for the compliment Peter. 🙂
The Boxes were created in Blender 3D and the Globe with the arrows I downloaded from Shutter Stock.
As far adding the Logos to the Boxes I used this tutorial:
https://cgcookie.com/blender/2010/05/19/tip-placing-decals-with-empties/Everything else was done in Motion except for the Logo which was also done in Blender.
Also, I highly recommend https://www.cgcookie.com and https://www.blenderguru.com for great tutorials on everything Blender 🙂
Have a wonderful day!

You are welcome Mark.
Also, I added a post on my blog with the new Blender 3D demo reel.
As you will see it is a very powerful tool and best of all it is FREE 🙂So with $50 for Motion and Blender you can be making some amazing videos for a grand total of only $50.00.
I love a good deal 🙂Here is the demo reel blog post:
