Thanks. It worked. New problem. I’m in studio pro now trying to navigate my way through. I have chapters marked on the movie. Why do they not show up when trying different menues? Thanks

Help me here. I’m so silly. I’d kinda like to have both video and audio together to send to Studio Pro to make a master dvd. If i take the 2 seperate files there is there away to, for the lack of a better term, stick them back together? thanks.

I imported dvd with Mpeg Streamclip. THen put it on timeline for more editing. Then export to quicktime movie. Then import to compressor FCP. I choose DVD:Best Quality in settings menue. After hours of process i end up with 2 icons on desktop, video and audio.2 seperate animals. thanks for any help. I’m missing a step somewhere.

You are assuming that I assumed that I knew everything. If that were so, I wouldn’t have been taking classes on a regular basis. All I am saying is the I was not told to things when I started. They are telling me those 2 things now. I asked them at the start. THey said nothing. No, i am not whining, simply warning others of those 2 things that lead to the demise of project. Now to add insult to injury may be some folk’s gig and joy, well I cannot work or talk with such folks.

Well, my burned dvd is still out of audio/video sinc in the same spot. Could there be something wrong with idvd? I’m still trying to figure SP out. Class again today. The nightmare continues.

i think i’ve got it figured. My initial problem way back was that 3 quarters of the way into movie on the burned dvd, it would go out of sinc, video/audio. I was using a dual layer dvd. I now have movie below 2 hours. It seems the chapters were taking up 10 minutes worth making the total 130 minutes. I am now burning to a single layer dvd. I hope this solves the ‘out of sinc’ problem. I’m just guessing but is it possible that when the dual layer flips to the second layer, it would throw audio/video out? I don’t know. I hope I’m on to something. I’ll know by 6:30 this morning, central time.

So confusing that when I send to idvd, i can burn dvd, no problem. When I send it to pro studio, 95gigs.This jungle has some twists and turns for sure.

I appreciate your time and expertise Jerry. I’ll take your notes with me to class today and hopefully my teacher can walk me through the steps. I said it before, this is all new to me. I can write the stories, run the camera, direct the action, and do all the music and even edit film, but some of this high tech stuff is above my pay grade.LOL! thanks.

Filmed in 720/24fps. Just under 2 hours. Going to class today. Hope to find the elusive answer.

I’m doing something wrong. I sent movie to Quick Time as ‘self contained’. It ended up 95 GB’s.
