I’ve done both (repeatedly). I don’t know if this part of the same issue, but we often have issues Exporting self contained QT files. They show up in the finder, but can’t open them and the are a fraction of the size they should be. When trying to open these files we get a General 2048 Error. This error usually shows up with MPEG files (what I’ve learned doing a little research), not genereally QT’s. I’ve reninstalled QT with no help.
