Thanks for trying to help but that is exactly what I am doing.In fact all my veg.project files are stored in a folder in Windows Explorer and I open them from there.

This is quite a strange phenomenon.I have never encountered it in Vegas 10 but then my projects were not this large.I have say my final veg.project open that I am preparing for rendering,and am pasting previous clips from other smaller projects into it.When it gets to a certain size of over 55 minutes it will not open.

I have even tried bypassing certain clips that have extra fx’s on them but this still does not help.

My only solution it seems is to paste all the edited clips into the final project and render from there without closing the veg.prog.If I need to re edit something I will have to paste the clips gain,re edit and then do a final render.

It is a big nuisance but I am running out of time and have no other alternative.

Hello Roger thanks but you have baffled me here.What I do is double click the veg.file with the default opening programme being Vegas Pro 12.

I cannot understand how you open it within Windows Explorer,could you please elaborate as I must be missing something.
