Chris Conlee …but little did the honey badger know, he’d been stuuunngg! He’d been bit. And as he continued to eat that thing, the venom slowly coursed thru his veins and he passed out…

“But look at this- the honey badger is gonna pass out for a few minutes, then it’s gonna get right back up and start eating again.”

“THAT’S our fail-safe point. Up until here, we still have enough track to stop the locomotive before it plunges into the ravine… But after this windmill it’s the future or bust.”

  • David McGavran “You can also use a magic mouse or other horizontal/vertical scrolling mouse on windows as well as mac.”

Cool, that’s good to know- I didn’t know a Magic Mouse will work on Windows. I may have to look into that.

You guys did an amazing job on CS6, by the way…

Aindreas Gallagher “Its going to feel, a tiny bit weird dropping my NLE down to half res like I do in AE. that still feels somehow wrong.”

Yes, but on a POSITIVE note, you’ll have a source viewer that lets you set PERSISTENT in and out points, and you won’t have to worry about the possible irreversible corruption of your project, or, EVENT, or whatever the heck they’re calling it over there… 😉

David Lawrence “I’ve been trying and I can’t get the blade tool to snap. Must be holding it wrong ;)”

The tool itself doesn’t snap to the CTI, but the cut that you make with it will, if the blade line is positioned slightly to the side of it.

Steve Connor “Speed seems much improved”

Indeed it is. Even without a CUDA card I’m really impressed by the performance of CS6. It scrubs through AVCHD like a hot knife through butter, and a lot of things just happen. Projects load faster, and I really like being able to adjust color correction during playback.

CS5, by comparison, is like a fat guy vegging on the couch, eating a box of mini donuts, who you have to ask a few times to do something before finally he slowly gets up and says, “ok, ok, I’m going…”

    😉

    David Lawrence “I’m using version 6.0.0 (319 (MC:264587))”

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that the build number for Premiere Pro has an MC in it? 🙂

(Was that inspired by the new trim tools? 😉 )

Walter Soyka “Activate the project panel (by clicking into it or hitting the hotkey Shift-1) first.”

Ah, ok. I had the sequence panel activated. I guess I was still in the Photoshop frame of mind…

Now that I got it working, adjustment layers are pretty sweet! This is going to help tremendously…

You really should check out the trial version. They did an incredible job with CS6

The trial version is up now too, if you want to jump on board right away…
