In his article about PPro CS6, David Lawrence referred to the CS6 timeline as “The Honey Badger of Timelines”, with a link to a YouTube video about the honey badger.

That made me curious so I watched the video- and judging by what I keep hearing, and after using CS6 myself, I must say I think it was a good analogy…

Thanks for pointing out the link which I didn’t look at originally. Loved the quote and now I kind of dig the reference. 😉

I’m thinking the honey badger could be to Premiere what Tux is to Linux.

there! – see the honeybadger? look at look it! look! its just eating all that h264. red – my god its just eating it. eww. that is so disgusting. but the honey badger doesn’t care, see? the HoneyBadger just doesn’t care. the honey badger just eats it right up.

exact same style voiceover, and violins, only this time its over a single ominous zoom in on the premiere timeline. the casual viewer will have no idea what is going on. NONE.

that is a premium ad campaign right there. premium mental maybe. but premium.

“But look at this- the honey badger is gonna pass out for a few minutes, then it’s gonna get right back up and start eating again.”
