I doubt it, if the beta is being released on April 16th, and NAB is the same time, I don’t think they would release a final version that fast.

  • Mike, we are planning on using Premiere in a network environment as well. I don’t understand the part about Premiere wiping the user profiles/data clean? Aren’t all the Premiere software loaded on each individual computer, and the network is just for video/data files? This is how we are planning on doing it through gigabit ethernet cards. Can you please outline your setup?

Had the exact same problem, and don’t feel like buying a 500 dollar program to make it work.

There’s no blending modes or time remapping in PP 2.0, but the biggest dissapointment was no Panasonic HD codec support. They did say they fixed the 24P Normal strobing effect finally. Multicam mode looked cool. But it seemed like much more attention was paid to After Effects 7.0 than PP or even Audition and Encore.

They should absolutely nothing. Asked them about new video collection. They said they couldn’t talk about it. How lame, it’s been so long since the last update, and can’t even release any info about it.

    Blending modes.

    TRUE 24P support.

    Time Remapping.

Keyframing on the timeline for effects (like After Effects)

    Multicam feature.

    Flash integration.

  • I find it funny how people who don’t use the 24P feature, get upset when people who do use it, aren’t happy with PPRO’s functionality with it. If it wasn’t a big issue, why is there a 200+ post(4 times larger than any other topic) on Adobe’s forum? The reason is that many people are upset about it, and its the only way to voice their opinion, THAT’S WHAT A FORUM’S FOR. Because they’ve already sent emails, letters, bug reports with no effect.

  • So your attitude is that if you don’t use that particular feature, then it isn’t important(to quote you “24P is overrated”). Then also, that if people are upset about it and are sending bug reports and emails, talking about in forums, they should just stop. Great attitude to have. Accept things as they are because “enough is enough”. Don’t talk about the problem, because it may upset people like you.

  • Thanks for even more condecsending comments. My point was that if they don’t fix an existing problem for a year, “anyone with any sense” knows it doesn’t mean that they will never fix it or add support for new technology, it means that given the track record of not fixing existing bugs, they most likely will be very very slow to implement it. Also I have submitted many bug reports and written emails to Adobe, and so has many others. As for you, I find it funny that you as a forum “leader” are so biased, and any comments critical comments about Adobe are taken like I ran over your dog, and you feel that you have to insult me. The truth is I like Adobe products, I just don’t like their attitude about listening to users. Your comments make me think you are some sort of Adobe employee, or just blinded by your love for them.

  • Just because you think 24P is overrated, doesn’t mean that alot of us out there who don’t feel it is. Also HDV support was a nice added feature, but it also shows that they wanted to add a new feature rather than fixing an existing problem.

I also don’t appreciate your condescending attitude.

“Anyone with sense understands that companies don’t just write new programs and then abandon them.”
