I retired from the Air Force 15 years ago at age 40. Now that the technology has caught up to my imagination (and budget) I have put all govt type work behind permanently as well as any self-loathing and agonizing over age. With resources like The Cow, I am now building my machine to run dream products like CS4 web premium, AE CS4, and a slew of Red Giants products, amongst others. A pile of tutorials from the Master Library here and I will be on my way to another more enjoyable career. I have thousands of drawings and photos from all over the world to draw inspiration from. With sites like this, I should be up to newbie speed in no time. With the drive and training I possess, I hope to post some nifty crackin eye candy. My wife thinks my Adobe bills on the credit cards are for porn online! Wait till she sees the wedding footage after I have played with it!

Perhaps there is an issue with running a 64-bit version of the OS. Not all hardware/software is 64-bit ready or 100% compatible. I had issues with drivers changing over from XP to Vista and even with the service packs installed can make a difference in whether the drivers work or not. Adobe told me this week CS3 is still 32-bit and will not guarantee it to work with 64-bit OS.
I just bought a new pc with a 64-bit capable chip and 8GB ram and had to install Vista 32-bit to resolve some older hardware driver issues. Vista Ultimate can also be trimmed down to enhance performance…PC World had a recent article which helped me cut out useless items.
