My question did not get answered Paul D , I want to know what keyframe control means as it relates to this type of codec ??

Indeed my friend your right Lynda.com make and error or 6.0 has a different function for this tool than 6.5 thanks I concur with your approach entirely

You know I thought about that Colin but when I put the the precomposed layers back into the comp will the position be current as it was prior to pre-comp or will I have to now reposition the pre-comp back to the way I had the text layers.? And Colin that time remap tool gets the best of me I read the tut by Stephen Schieler and I can not learn that tool any reference you might be aware of .
