The burn actually does match the timecode on the tape. But when I captured the clips, FinalCut apparently added 10 frames to the head of each clip … which from what you say seems to be the source of my problem. I’ve looked through the preferences but have been unable to find a setting dealing with these unwanted handles. Seems my simplest solution is to recapture the material, eliminating the handles — any suggestions how I can make sure FinalCut doesn’t add them? … thanks
