In Adobe Media encoder CS5, I simply dragged my HD Quicktime file to the Source window. Then I changed the preset to “Apple TV 720p”. Then “Start Queue”. It compressed it nearly in real-time. After compressing, I dragged the new .MP4 file to the Itunes “Movie” window for the iPad. In seconds I was able to play the great quality video in the iPad native Video App.
