    I’ll let you know if I try it, but I’m a little hesitant to go for it without hearing that it’s been done successfully with good and desirable results. I don’t have money to burn on equipment that won’t work.

  • That quad core would do the same job in about six or seven hours which is significantly quicker, but still a long time.

    I’ve been working with the gy-hd110’s for the past few years, and I’ve always powered down the cameras to switch sd cards. I couldn’t find much literature on it, but I wanted to play it safe myself.

    I’ve never formatted the sd cards. I just put them in and started saving settings.

    Are you using any lights or are you just using the ambiance lighting?

    About the only thing you can do to eliminate the grain is to shoot with more light. If you are trying to give the video a kind of dark look, you can always shoot it with a bit more light and darken it down in post. As long as you don’t have any harsh lighting, it should look good.
