Many hard drives that come in factory enclosures come setup as FAT32 right from the factory. Bare drives don’t, those designed primarily for Mac do not, but many do… If you’ve not encountered them you need to get out in the world a bit. 🙂

I don’t have a Windows machine here, and I can’t remember precisely how to get to the Disk Manager in Windows off the top of my head. Your issue could be something else, but based on your original post, which said nothing about problem titles or anything else, I offered you a solution that is often the issue for many trying to export large files in a Windiws environment.

Your hard drive was probably formatted FAT32 at the factory, which has a 4Gb file size limitation. Try formatting NTFS under Windows. Move any files on that drive to a safe location, as reformatting will erase all files on the drive.

The short answer is yes, you ALWAYS need to be concerned when updating or upgrading a working system to a new OS, because you may need newer drivers for your hardware components that either may not exist yet, or simply may not yet be perfected. So, ALWAYS clone your boot drive to an external FireWire drive first, using SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.

Andrew gave you the proper advice. Whatever performance your prior experience may have appeared to give you, it clearly wasn’t what it should have been, because you came here in need of help.
For the record, this is science, and you simply can’t cheap- out on media drive(s) or work from the perspective of the minimum specs needed to get by, especially if you’re going to deliver 10-bit uncompressed, which requires a very beefy multi-drive RAID (4 to 8 drives) for seamless playback.
Furthermore, 10-bit uncompressed is an older, rarely used codec. You would do far better to use a h-performance codec such as Pro Res HQ of 4444 for mastering.

Unlike FCP legacy Premiere can playback anything on the timeline without rendering, is 64-bit, is GPU accelerated, has support for essentially unlimited RAM, and has the broadest suite of apps in the biz.

Well, you are out of luck my friend, Encore has been discontinued, and I no longer part of the Adobe suite of apps. And, the list products you attached are upgrades from older versions, you cannot simply choose one and install that as a trial just because it’s free, it just doesn’t work that way.

It sounds to me as if the issue may be that the clip is being misinterpreted as progressive, so the answer is not to deinterlace, but rather to put the clip on a new timeline with the proper field order (upper/lower) set in Sequence Settings before adding the clip to the timeline, as you cannot change the seq settings once there are clips on the timeline.
If the above does display the clip correctly, then export the clip as a self contained QT, and it should have the proper field order.

Well, even though your internal SSD drive is fast, you really can’t playback off the same drive your apps are running on simultaneously, with the expectation seamless playback, especially with three streams of AVCHD playing back simultaneously via multicam editing.
First, your running apps have priority over media playback off the single drive, and on top of that you have three streams of AVCHD playingl, and it is not a hi-performance editing codec, so you have exponential issues with thoughput from your single SSD drive.
I would recommend a 2-bay or preferably a 4-bay Thunderholt array at the very minimum for seamless playback of multicam when using the AVCHD codec.
