As I said, since there is no perfect next step for all users after adding a bin, Adobe defaults to moving the cursor to the next user definable field. That’s most likely the default for all metadata fields that have no intuitive or absolute next step. If you send this in as a feature request, and tell them what you’d prefer, the developers will consider it. Just do keep in mind, you have to give the developers an alternative, because when writing code they need to define an action when return is hit, they can’t just write code that does nothing. So, if you think return should create another new bin, suggest that… But, unless you suggest an action, your message just sounds like a complaint to the guys who fix these things.

The fact is, after renaming a bin there is no “certain” or definable next step for all editors, so Adobe engineers allowed the cursor to default to the next user definable field.
So, where would you like the cursor to go after you name/rename the bin? Rather than simply pointing out problems and pitfalls, make it constructive criticism by giving the developers a logical alternative.

If you were a software engineer at Adobe, or if you were going to use the composite you’ve created as a template for every show you were going to edit, figuring out why this happening might be important. However, if you’re just trying to make this work, so you can move on to other aspects of storytelling, just export a still of the “freeze frame,” and cut that in where you need it, then move on. Does that make sense?

Your post seems odd to me… Can you please explain how, if you’re directing the VO session, that hiring a professional you auditioned online is any different from any other VO talent?
Having directed and engineered hundreds of VO sessions both live and remote, I have never noticed any differences in quality between the pros I’ve used live here in Hollywood vs. pros I’ve hired online.
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve used pros from Voice123, all of whom supply resumes and references – and, they always send free auditions to me of a paragraph or two from the copy I supply to them from the current project (very helpful when getting client approvals). After a phone call to go over the technical and aesthetic details, I direct the sessions via a phone patch, until I’m satisfied, and it goes just like any live session I’ve ever directed, with results that are just as good.
BTW, I always get every VO talent to agree to a round of pickups, should they be needed, which 100% of the pros I’ve used have agreed to provide for free. I highly recommend that anyone producing anything with VO talent get such an agreement, in advance.
In summation, using an online service is a terrific way to meet VO pros from all over the country whom you would never otherwise know or meet, kind of like online dating. However, just like any people you might consider hiring for any position, you should do your due dilligence before hiring.

You own a terrific computer and a great graphics card that were really high performance four to five years ago. The only way to speed rendering would be to replace both or perhaps just the GPU. You can buy two GTX Titan cards today, which run circles around the K4000, for about what you originally paid for the K4000.

You don’t need a different motherboard, you need a Cubix expansion chassis. You put a PCIe card in the computer, which attaches to an expansion chassis, into which you can install several PCIe cards. FYI, the expansion chassis come in various sizes, each capable of accommodating different numbers of PCIe cards.
If you’re really serious about color and ultimately decide to move over to the Linux version of Resolve, get the six-bay expander now, as that version of the software supports up to six GPUs.

Yes, constantly downloading and deleting movies on your SSD will cause it to deteriorate prematurely, very much like using it as a media drive, simply because your moving big files on an off the drive. In a boot drive, apps are updated only occasionally, but for the most part they are left in place and simply started up when you need them. Document filed are also pretty much left in place with some minor changes, but that’s what SSDs are designed for.
