    Hi

I just did a test the two versions of msdv.sys I had were:

5.3.2600.2180 (SP2) This one caused LAG

    5.1.2600.0 this one was fine.

if you system is stll laggy, check the version you are actually using if full windows (as opposed to safe mode) as sometime XP repairs itself.

Indeed but it is slight, i output via a BRDV600 and the delay was maybe a frame at the most … until service pack 2, then it was a second or so. I think the file is msdv.sys, I am away from the office so I will check on my main edit machine as it was months ago I did this, but i keep a copy of the old version in case. I copied a service pack 1 version over and hey presto NO DELAY. You will need to replace the file in safe mode otherwise it will be overwritten.

Anyone getting a second or so delay via firewire needs to apply this fix, I would guess on most systems there is no need to monitor audio via firewire only.

I am suprised this is not known more widely, as it is a simple fix for an annoying and unfixed problem.
