Guy thanks for posting this I had been having the same problem and found a solution not mentioned. I had been transferring media from my p2 cards fine now for over a year then got the Error: No Data. I went to Final Cut Pro > System Settings and changed the “Scratch Disk” “Waveform Cache” “Thumbnail Cache” “AutoSave” locations and problem solved. I moved it to a different external hard drive. Hope this helps.
