    Cool. I think the rule I used to use was don’t go over 7. Maybe it is still the same (or maybe I’m a little more conservative than you).

    Is there no export option in Final Cut 7 that will create a high quality video file and a high quality audio file that I can import directly into DVD Studio Pro without the steps you just mentioned?

    Very helpful – I was not even thinking that the solution would be as simple as playing with sequence settings.

    It is a 16×9 clip and I want to leave it that way.

    The clip originally would not play well with the sequence settings at Frame Size: HDTV 1080i (16:9) and Compressor: H.264.

    It does seem to be working at Frame Size: NTSC DV (3:2) with the compressor set either to DVCPRO50 – NTSC or H.264.

    Lots of rendering but looks like this will work.

    Where do I find frame controls in Compressor? Do you mean the program Compressor or the compressor setting in sequence settings?
