Thank you Dennis! I guess I missed it somehow but will definitely go month to month. I will also check out the credit pack option as well. Thank you for the fast response.

Let me also quote you to give part of my response:

    [Bill Davis] “Sigh.”

Your response is mostly factually incorrect and in the case of any stock outlet, having another company like Adobe, Pond5, etc take care of the dirty work (like hosting, promoting, marketing, integration, etc) is a GOOD thing. Stock is a great way to create another revenue stream that can work for you. For people that need meet deadlines, Stock can be a great time saver. As for finding the right clip amongst millions, we have added a lot of powerful filters including visual search to help you hone in on what you need.

You’re looking at Adobe Stock in the wrong way: Fully realized, Stock is a way that Adobe can pay YOU to help create you living

Well said! I just started my subscription with Adobe Stock last month. Right now I am mainly using it to find grunge and backgrounds to add to my library along with some stock photos. So far I am pleased but was wondering whether there is a month to month plan without an annual contract. I will be looking through the video section soon. Even though I don’t subscribe to any of the CC apps I do like the Stock offering.

Thank you for calming my fears. I hope to see a new version of standalone later this month. Do you think Motion could compliment Fusion in some workflows?

The cost looks very much comparable to Pond 5 and Adobe Stock so it will be somewhat expensive. There is so much footage on the other sites that it’s difficult to find the perfect footage. I have yet to explore around on Vimeo so I don’t have an answer there. I wish Rampant Design Tools would get in on the action as well.

How does it compare to Library Opener from Arctic Whiteness?

While it is getting there I still prefer to use Final Cut Pro X or Premiere Pro for editing. Resolve is fine for color grading but not so sure about Fusion being integrated. I have mixed feelings and concerns. The main concern is the fate of Fusion standalone. There has been some talk it is dead but without any official announcement from BMD there is really now way to confirm this. I honestly hope Fusion standalone will remain and will continue to be developed. Nuke is very expensive. It will be a wait and see game. Perhaps a new version will be announced at IBC which is less than two weeks away.

Getting back to the question at hand, the edit page is more responsive compared to previous versions. The one thing I have noticed is more lag in the Fusion page compared to the standalone version. I would rather have to round trip and have more stability and better performance than have to run into performance issues. Fairlight is a welcome addition but probably should be offered as a separate package in addition. Resolve has made progress but shoving everything into one package means mixed results. I will give it time and keep an open mind.

    Mark,
I switched to Adobe Premiere Pro yesterday. Life is boring without tracks and a turnpike minus the off ramp. I am also migrating back to Windows. ????

Bill, my post was meant to be humorous. With that said I do enjoy FCPX very much. The issue that gets under my skin is when someone gets raked over the coals because another person does not agree with that software. Someone in here might enjoy using Premiere Pro and there is no harm in that. Everyone has different needs and workflows. We all need to have an open mind and not be narrow minded. A lively debate is a healthy debate but we need to keep it civil.

    End of discussion!

I think that is a good one. After all, we have a least one person who loves saying how wonderful their NLE of choice is. ????
